I took my second ClassPass class today in Willasmburg at Y7 Studio. I had reservations because as I was walking down into the basement of the building, it seemed very dirty and cold.
But once you get inside the studio, while small, it is great! The girl checking me in was very nice. It is $2 for a mat rental, and $2 for a towel. I asked where the bathroom was, and it is a communal bathroom shared with the other tenants in the basement. Needless to say, not very clean or private. No showers or locker rooms.
There is only one yoga room. The yoga style here is Vinyasa. It is done in candle light, with heaters, and a bumpin' playlist.
She did ask for injuries, but outloud in the beginning of class. I wasn't about to raise my hand and tell everyone all my ailements. But as we soon got underway, I realized how much I miss yoga.
I had Caitlyn. Her voice was very soothing, and I enjoyed her vibe. The music was awesome, and for those worried that the music will be a distraction, it isn't. It definitely adds to it. In face I've been listening to the playlists on Spodify since I've gotten home.
The flow was challenging for me because I haven't done yoga in awhile. But it was a good challenging, a good flow, and a good sweat. I left in a great mood, totally relaxed and ready to get on with the day.
I recommend Y7 to anyone in the area. Obviously my class was on the smaller side due to the time I was able to make it, but some people have said on the busier times it is pretty crowded. I am looking forward to coming back to try another class with another instructor, but would also not mind taking another one of Caitlyns.
I'll be back Y7 Studio!!!
